Is a book that bring together a story of twelve visual artists -with roots in the Global South- the invitation conceived as an exercise on desire where writing serves as an imaginative impulse rather than a bio of their visual work.

By curiously examining epistemic injustices, the essay focuses on how bodily exclusion directly impacts the legimization of certain knowledge, beyond the hand used for writing. This research reveals that non-normative bodies challenge structures that have historically rendered other forms of learning, teaching, and knowledge invisible.

No se nos invitó sits at the intersection of urban anthropology, somatic research, and public art –with a tight 18-day window (may 24 june 11, day of the inauguration) during which Mexico City underwent one of the most rapid “transformations” of recent decades.

I’ve first learned what a digital garden is a year ago when i was decing what was going to be the result of my thesis project and i was as amazed as i was curious and wanted to star one.
This is my third attempt conceptualizing the idea however it’s my first time actually trying, is it going to work? I don’t know yet, we’ll figure out.

Gala Carranco is a designer based in CDMX (and researcher when she’s in the commute). Her work questions the scope of design by exploring the possibility of generating interdisciplinary projects that encompass comunity participation, visual communication, participatory research, and social sciences, thus underpinning a practice that is both strategic and creative.

Therefor her work moves between web design, typographic design, editorial design, photography (sometimes i will expose my film) and illustration.
