STORY TELLING
Based on research into the water problem in Mexico City, with a special
focus on the piping processes of rivers and bodies of water, I developed
a proposal to rethink the city's relationship with its water environment.
Inspired by traditional chinampa systems, I proposed an alternative that
recovers ancestral practices of coexistence with water, adapting them to
the contemporary urban context. The proposal narrates a journey from the
south to the west of the city, showing the challenges, lessons learned,
and dynamics of inhabiting an aquatic territory, as well as the possi-
bilities for ecological and social resilience.
